Today's encouragement comes from Matthew 7:6, where we read these words:
“Do not give dogs what is holy, and do not throw your pearls before pigs, lest they trample them underfoot and turn to attack you.” (ESV)
Today, in the New Covenant era, “dogs” and “pigs” are those who do not love Jesus Christ, (they are the new “gentiles”). The possessors of what is “holy” and of “pearls” are the Israel of God, (the regenerate church).

We are to preach the gospel to unbelievers; but we are also to be careful not to dishonor our Christ by allowing any admixture of His holy and precious atoning blessings with idolatry and unbelief—the result of which would be blasphemy against God and violence against us.
