Today's encouragement comes from Galatians 6:10, where we read these words:
"Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith."Christians are to do good to all people; but first and foremost to their fellow-churchmen. In the Bible, the term “poor” mostly applies to people in the church who wholeheartedly love God in Jesus Christ. Because of this, these saints find themselves constantly in the cross-hairs of hypocrites, the world, and Satan. Therefore, their needs must first be addressed. After this is done, we are free to “do good” to everyone and anyone else.
As we follow this God-ordained pattern, we will find our resources of time, talent, and treasure used in ways that please Christ, and forward His kingdom (of His church).
