Today's encouragement comes from Ephesians 5:1, where we read these words of Paul:
"Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children.” (ESV)I like the ESV’s use of the word “beloved” here. Beloved children of God hap-pily imitate their beloved Heavenly Father. Our Father forgives/we forgive; our Father is tenderhearted/we are tenderhearted; our Father is kind/we are kind. (All of this is as per the previous verse, Eph. 4:32.)
. . . And all of this is because of Jesus, our glorious and cherished Redeemer and elder brother. Our Father forgave us, His true church, because the blood of His beloved Son was shed for us.
