Today's encouragement comes from Acts 20:24, where we read these words:
“But I do not account my life of any value nor as precious to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.” (ESV)
This is a verse that every truly-called minister of the church cherishes. In it, there is liberty (“not . . . precious”); aim and fulfillment (“finish my course); and eternal value and worth (“testify to the gospel of the grace of God”).

. . . But all true Christian churchmen receive these blessed and miraculous provisions, too. Let all of us who love Christ live each day to the full, in the power of the Holy Spirit.
